Treasures of the National Civil War Museum
Thursday, November 13, 7 p.m.
Wayne Motts will present on the National Civil War Museum during this gathering
of the Lancaster Civil War Round Table. The museum, located in in Harrisburg, PA, is a non-profit private educational institution dedicated solely to the American Civil War, addressing both the Northern and Southern perspectives, as well as from a military and civilian perspective. It is home to more than 24,000 artifacts, documents and photos.

 
SPEECHCRAFT - A Series of Public Speaking Workshops
Tuesdays, October 14, 21, 28, November 4, 18, 25 from 6 - 8 p.m.
The Conestoga Toastmasters Club is conducting its popular six-session workshop
called SPEECHCRAFT that will help participants overcome nervousness and

Strasburg-Heisler Library
Jeans for Vets
Saturday, November 15
The library will serve as a collection point for donations of Jeans for Vets. The public
may bring new or almost new (No rips, tears or stains) jeans for men and women. All sizes needed. The jeans will then be brought to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Coatesville. Veterans in need of clothing are given a clothing voucher to shop the clothing room. Men and women are typically between ages 19 and 35.
