The Library System of Lancaster County is aware of the citizen-led petition initiated by the local group “Vote Yes 4 Libraries” to place a referendum on the November ballot.
The board of the Library System, and its leadership, are maintaining a neutral posture on the ballot initiative as the civic engagement process plays out. As always, we appreciate the passion of the community leaders and volunteers who are working to support our county public libraries.
As the community-led ballot initiative shifts the conversation directly to the public, we look forward to following the process as community members share their perspectives on how to support and sustain library services in the long-term.
