Migration

The library’s catalog is entering a new era!

This decision provides cost savings for libraries, and it will bring you a number of long-requested features. See below for some frequently asked questions and check back for updates.

Important Dates

August 14: Last day to submit interlibrary (out of county system) loan requests.

August 25: Access to our current online catalog shuts down.

August 31: Limited Service Period begins. Checkouts can only be done with library card in hand.

Sept 3: New system launches. Normal service resumes, and the new online catalog is available.

July 2026 Updates

Unfortunately, we are not able to migrate reading history and lists from our previous online catalog to our new one. If you would like to retain your information, you must export it by August 24 at the latest. Watch the video embedded below for instructions:

Why are certain services shutting down early?

To keep our records from getting messy, we need to temporarily “freeze” most of our data for a brief time during the swap. Certain other services, like Interlibrary Loan, must be interrupted earlier because they involve more behind-the-scenes processes.

On the plus side, we are also extending due dates during some of this reduced service to make life easier for everyone! No items (other than potential interlibrary loans) will be due between Tuesday, 8/25/26 and Wednesday, 9/9/26.

What is the Limited Service Period?

Between August 31 and September 3, libraries will be operating with limited services. While still open regular operating hours, we will not be able to create new library cards or look up account information. Previously paused services, like interlibrary loan and online catalog access, will continue to be unavailable. You WILL be able to check items out if you have your library card in hand, so make sure you bring it along!

Frequently Asked Questions

How will this affect me?

You’ll notice a visual difference in our online catalog and the URL for the catalog will change. We will provide support on learning the new platform. When we have the new link, we’ll share it here and on all library websites. Email notices will also change in appearance.

Depending on your account type, how often you need to renew your account may also change. Accounts are easy to renew—just stop in with current ID and proof of address!

Do I need to do anything during this change?

If you save your reading history or lists in your online library account and want to keep that information, you will need to export it. See instructions in the July Update.

Will I still be able to manage my account online?

There will be a brief service interruption at the end of August and start of September. After that, your online account will be back and better than ever! You will still be able to place holds, renew materials, pay fines, and more.

Is my library closing during the transition?

While most locations are closing for a half day for staff training on the new system, the physical libraries will mostly remain open during usual operating hours.

There will be a few days where we will offer limited services. We will not be able to renew materials or create new accounts, and you must have your library card with you in order to check out materials.

  • SMS/text alerts
  • An online catalog with a modern look & featured item lists
