Frequently Asked Questions
How will this affect me?
You’ll notice a visual difference in our online catalog and the URL for the catalog will change. We will provide support on learning the new platform. When we have the new link, we’ll share it here and on all library websites. Email notices will also change in appearance.
Depending on your account type, how often you need to renew your account may also change. Accounts are easy to renew—just stop in with current ID and proof of address!
Do I need to do anything during this change?
If you save your reading history or lists in your online library account and want to keep that information, you will need to export it. Instructions for how to do this are coming in July.
Will I still be able to manage my account online?
There will be a brief service interruption at the end of August and start of September. After that, your online account will be back and better than ever! You will still be able to place holds, renew materials, pay fines, and more.
Is my library closing during the transition?
While most locations are closing for a half day for staff training on the new system, the physical libraries will mostly remain open during usual operating hours.
There will be a few days where we will offer limited services. We will not be able to renew materials or create new accounts, and you must have your library card with you in order to check out materials.
