Public Libraries of Lancaster County unveil new Awareness Campaign Connect with Your Library Advocacy Website!

The Public Libraries of Lancaster County are pleased to launch a new website that will promote their Advocacy Campaign message:Connect with Your Library.  The site can be accessed at www.lancasterlibrariesconnect.org

The Connect Campaign is designed to raise awareness, inspire conversation and foster support about the importance of Lancaster County’s Public Libraries.  Visitors to the website will learn more about how the county public libraries are funded, the importance of library services and how everyone in the community benefits by having a public library in their area.  The site also serves as an online place to connect to each of the 17 library locations and the Bookmobile.

Visitors to the site will also find an array of services offered at Lancaster County public libraries, as well as ways that they can support their local library either through advocating efforts, donations, or volunteering.   “What is Your Library Worth to You?” is an added feature on the home page that links to a calculator with cost values for each of the services and resources that library users receive when visiting their library.

The site also includes videos that were created to highlight many of the resources that public libraries offer visitors.  Brad Rutter, All-Time Jeopardy Champion and one of libraries’ biggest fans (supporter?), helped to deliver the Connect with Your Librarymessage by serving as a spokesperson for the campaign.  These video messages have been placed on the home page of the site and on other pages as well.  To view these messages, link to:

Visitors to the site are encouraged to give feedback in addition to learning about the value that public libraries bring to the community!
