The North Museum will present a special Mission to the Moon program at the Public Libraries this summer!
The North Museum of Nature and Science’s outreach educator will present a program that will educate youth and their families about lunar exploration. Programs will run from June 24 – July 31.
Program Description: Join the North Museum of Nature and Science and get ready for some lunar explorations. Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the historic mission that landed the first astronauts on the moon through hands-on experiences. Explore the moon’s surface in preparation to designing a lunar lander!
Special Note: The North Museum Staff recommends the following advance information: “The crater creator activity is super fun, but it creates a bit of a mess. We will have Instructors bring table clothes to use and aid in easy clean up. Registered attendees are asked to wear clothes they don’t mind if they get covered in cocoa dust (wearing white is not recommended).”
