The Quarryville Library Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Cheri Crow will become Director of Quarryville Library Center beginning Monday, February 1, 2016.

Ms. Crow received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Kutztown University and Master of Library Science from Rutgers University and brings over 20 years of experience as a librarian. Since 2010 she has worked as Youth Services District Consultant for Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Previously she worked as a college librarian, library director, children’s librarian and media specialist and is an enthusiastic advocate for childhood literacy. Throughout her career, Ms. Crow has demonstrated her ability to collaborate effectively with library users, staffs, and community organizations to provide meaningful programs and improve services. We believe that Quarryville Library with her leadership will become an increasingly essential center for resources and learning for our communities.

The Board of Trustees, led by President Linda Walter, commends the entire staff of the library for their excellent work during this transition. Special thanks are directed especially to Maribeth McMullen, our capable and tireless Interim Director, and to Frances Annis, the previous Library Director whose preparations for this transition were remarkably thorough and helpful.

The Board of Trustees will formally introduce Ms. Crow at a reception in her honor at the Library on Saturday, February 20, from 3 to 4 pm. Community members are invited and encouraged to attend.
