Pout Pout Fish, the popular storybook character from author Deborah Diesen and Illustrator Dan Hanna, will visit local public libraries to celebrate this year’s summer reading! Listen to Pout Pout Fish stories, enjoy fun activities and be sure to bring you camera for a picture with Pout Pout Fish! Visits start on June 15 and run through July 11.

The Pout Pout Fish series includes Pout Pout Fish Goes to School; Sweet Dreams Pout Pout Fish; Pout Pout Fish Look-and-Find Book, and Pout Pout Fish and the Bully-Bully Shark— to name a few.

Pout Pout Fish books come in hardbound, paperback and board book formats. They first appeared in 2008 and became very popular among 3-6 year olds.

About the Author and Illustrator

Deborah Diesen is the New York Times bestselling author of The Pout-Pout Fish books, named by Time Magazine as one of the Ten Best Children’s Books of 2008, and The Pout-Pout Fish in the Big-Big Dark. Diesen grew up in Midland, Michigan, and started writing poems at a young age. She has worked as a bookseller and a librarian, and now works for a small nonprofit organization, but her greatest joy comes from writing for children. She lives with her family in Grand Ledge, Michigan.

Dan Hanna is the illustrator of the New York Times bestselling Pout-Pout Fish series. He has over ten years of experience in the animation industry, and his work has appeared on the Cartoon Network. He lives in Oxnard, California.
