Crazy About Rainbows

Rainbows are magical. When do we see rainbows and why? Put on a pair of rainbow glasses and see all the beautiful colors of light. Together we will read a rainbow book, play games and complete a rainbow craft. $10.00 craft fee.

Color Scavenger Hunt

Read Crayola Wild World of Animal Colors by Laura Purdie Salas to discover how an animals colors help them survive, see examples with real animal specimens, and go on a nature scavenger hunt to explore the colors of nature first-hand.

Light and Rainbows

 

Experiment with Light and Color

Come investigate the fascinating world of light and color. Participants will enjoy learning using science equipment such as prisms, prism glasses, slinkies, blacklights and more. Be prepared to be ‘wowed’ by light color! $10.00 craft fee.

Nature Bookmarks

Make a nature bookmark for your summer reading! Go for a short walk outside to gather materials, then create your unique bookmark to remember nature every time you open your book. If there is no outdoor space available, we can bring some natural items with us to share. $10.00 craft fee

Glitter Critters

Learn about all that shimmers and sparkles in the animal world while looking at pictures and preserved specimens. Paint a beetle picture using natural mica glitter to take home. $10.00 craft fee
