Gerry and Karen Woods
Moores Memorial (Christiana) Library would like to honor two of our beloved volunteers, Gerry and Karen Woods. Gerry is the Chairman of our largest fundraiser, our annual golf tournament. He has chaired the golf tournament for the last 8 years. He hosts breakfast meetings at Dutch-Way Restaurant that are well attended by his group of helpers. He and his assistants coordinate all aspects of the golf tournament. Gerry also serves on the Library’s Board of Trustees.
Karen is the treasurer of our Friends group as well as the Manager of the Friend’s Read More Bookstore which is located on the lower level of the Moores Memorial Library in Christiana. Karen has the Tuesday shift at the bookstore. A shift at the bookstore includes sorting, cleaning and classifying donated books as well as working with the public as they shop the many treasures at the book store. Karen also helps with all the Friend’s fundraiser opportunities including our Princess Ball, Winter Tea, book sales, along with the rest of their activities.
