The Strasburg-Heisler Library is pleased to announce that they will be hosting a NEW fundraiser —“Handbag BINGO” that will be held on Sunday, October 18 at 12:30 pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1575 New Danville Pike, Lancaster. This first-time fundraiser will feature Coach and Vera Bradley handbags as prizes. The event, which is open to the public, will also include food, beverages and opportunities to win valuable prizes. Tickets are available at the Strasburg-Heisler Library for $20.00 each.
Library trustees and staff of the library collaborated in creating this unique fundraiser to increase their operating budget. This year’s budget has shown a significant shortfall. In fact, 30% of the library’s annual budget has to come from local fundraising. Dayna DaLauro, Strasburg-Heisler Library Trustee and BINGO co-chair, is very excited about this new venture by saying, “If I could plan my dream BINGO, this will be it!”
About the Game…Not just Bingo!
20 games of regular BINGO will be played along with 3 special games for exclusive prizes. Additional game cards will be available for sale for an even greater chance to win. There will be plenty of food and other opportunities to win other prizes- including a Kindle Fire HD! An authentic Coach or Vera Bradley purse will be awarded to an individual winner of each game. Consolation prizes will be given for tie-breaker. There will be four special BINGO games played for an additional $5.00 each to win very exclusive bags! There will also be door prizes and raffle baskets, along with other opportunities to win. Lots of food and beverages will be available too.
