That Fabulous Franklin: A Celebration of Imagination is a delightful presentation of the wit and wisdom of this American icon. Two actors recreate important moments in Ben’s story. They also bring to life some of the characters that Ben created in his writings, like Poor Richard Saunders and Silence Dogood. There is great fun for audiences of all ages in this sparkling, forty-five minute program performed by the actors from Family Stages! They created this program that relates to this year’s Summer Reading theme A Universe of Stories.
That Fabulous Franklin will make appearances at public libraries from June 17 through June 26.
Family Stages began in 1980 when husband and wife actors, Elise and Steve Seyfried, started writing and performing two-actor versions of classic children’s stories for school audiences. Eventually historical plays researched and written by Steve were added to the mix. As the company grew, the Seyfrieds stepped aside from the acting and now manage a corps of young actors who travel with their shows.
